Evaluation of the factors affecting newborn weight

Purpose: There is a trend that causes an increase in newborn weights and macrosomy rates many countries around the world. The aim of our study to compare mean 2012 2016, investigate whether there tendency weight macrosomia rates, evaluate effects neonatal gender, mode birth, maternal age season birth on weight.
 Materials Methods: data total 1573 newborns (n:687) 2016 (n=886) between 37-40 weeks gestation were evaluated retrospectively. newborns' weight, gestationel age, statistically.
 Results: It was found rate (birth ≥4000 g) from 4.9% 8.1% 2016. weak positive correlation for both years. significant terms babies delivered by cesarean section normal route observed had no effect Conclusion: gender affected newborn, but seasons have weight. Maternal sex gestational considered as independent risk factors macrosomia.
